-Bose Accoustimass 25 / 30 MK II Bass powered module

-Six Class G amplifiers (AB amps with power saving circuit).

-6th order bass enclosure with two 5.25 inch (133 mm) drivers

-Twin Analogue devices DSP's for Dolby 5.1 decoding, Loudness, crossover filtering etc.

-Part of the BOSE "Lifestyle" system introduced around 1999 which used a head unit containing a CD/Tuner unit which connected to the Bass module via a 13 pin DIN plug.

This website provides information on how to Recycle a BOSE Accoustimass 25/30 Bass module and it's associated six amplifiers without the use of the BOSE CD/Tuner unit.

To carry out the project work a minimum skill that you will require is the use of a soldering iron and some basic electronics knowledge.

Projects

There are five options to use the accoustimass 25/30 as a 2,  3 or 5 channel plus bass speaker unit standalone:

First use a windows PC to send mode commands and audio signals to the accoustimass seule.

Second bypass the BOSE bass module DSP's and apply low level audio directly to the six audio amplifier inputs.

Project 1 - BOSE Accoustimass 30 (or  25) used as a stereo or surround sound amplifier on a windows PC

Project 2 - BOSE Accoustimass 30 (or 25) used as a stereo or surround sound amplifier wired direct bypassing internal DSP

PROJECT(s) STATUS

Project 1 and 2 above are finished and have been in use for about three years on my PC's.

NOTE: 17-July-2023 I received an email from Steve:-

I tried out your windows application to interface with a BOSE lifestyle 8 series 2 and it worked perfectly.
